Wood construction adhesive - MOMENT FIX Wood is a high-quality solvent-free construction adhesive for fixing wooden skirting boards, panels, stair treads, and window sills. Suitable for indoor use with the following materials: wood, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), drywall, concrete, plaster, brick, and other absorbent materials. Not suitable for surfaces that are constantly underwater.
Properties:
Application areas:
Suitable for the following surfaces: wood and wood materials (e.g., panels, profiles, chipboard), plastered surfaces (indoors), concrete, aerated concrete, pumice, fiber concrete, bricks, styrofoam/mortar/cardboard panels, and rigid polyurethane foam. Not recommended for bonds that are constantly submerged in water.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Pre-treatment
Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are clean and free of dust, grease, and oil. Surfaces must not be permanently wet. To ensure a strong, secure bond, one surface must be porous, as water needs to evaporate for bonding to occur.
In the case of highly absorbent substrates such as plaster, MDF, chipboard (not OSB), and clay bricks, it is possible that the adhesive dries too quickly around the outer perimeter of the application area, and a proper bond does not form inside.
To achieve proper bonding on very absorbent substrates, moisten the surface with a spray bottle or damp cloth before bonding.
Before applying adhesive to decorative polyurethane panels, remove adhesive residues with sandpaper or a solvent such as acetone.
Application
Cut the end of the cartridge above the screw thread. Screw on the plastic nozzle and cut the nozzle end at an angle. Insert the cartridge into the gun.
Apply adhesive to one of the surfaces to be bonded: 1) for leveling uneven surfaces in patches, 2) for larger surfaces for better initial bonding with wavy areas, or 3) for smaller surfaces in straight lines.
When used outdoors, apply in vertical lines.
To stop the flow of adhesive, release the gun trigger after each use.
Bonding panels, plastic decorative parts, acoustic panels, etc.
Place the panel 1–2 cm away from the bonding area, then slide it into the desired position and press firmly. If necessary, support heavy materials with decorative nails. If the substrate is smooth and firm, bond the panels directly to the surface. In the case of uneven surfaces, we recommend creating mechanically secured substructures from small wooden panels or rigid polystyrene or polyurethane foam strips (width: 5–10 cm, thickness: 5–20 mm, distance between strips: 30–65 cm depending on the panels to be bonded).
