MOMENT FIX Super is a dispersion adhesive designed for indoor work to replace nails, screws, and dowels.
Ideally suited for bonding porous and non-porous materials such as walls and floor moldings, door signs, decorative moldings, foam elements, decorative panels, PVC cable channels, etc. Especially suitable for bonding materials such as foam, wood, metal, rigid PVC, ceramics, glass, chipboard, and cork. To ensure good adhesion, one of the surfaces to be bonded must be porous. Suitable for filling gaps and cracks up to 1 cm wide. Can be repainted after curing. Solvent-free and odorless. Not suitable for bonding PE, PP, Teflon, mirrors, and similar materials.
Properties:
* Henkel internal laboratory method: 12 g/cm²
Application areas:
MOMENT FIX Super is suitable for the following surfaces: plastered surfaces (indoors), concrete, aerated concrete, pumice, fiber concrete, gypsum board, gypsum floor panels, wood materials (e.g., chipboard) and rigid polyurethane foam. Not recommended for bonds that are permanently submerged in water.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Pre-treatment
Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are clean, free of dust, grease, or oil. Surfaces must not be permanently wet. To ensure a strong, secure bond, one surface must be porous, as water must evaporate for bonding to occur. In the case of highly absorbent substrates such as gypsum, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), chipboard (not OSB), clay bricks, it is possible that the adhesive dries too quickly around the outer perimeter of the application area, and a proper bond does not form inside the area. To achieve proper bonding on highly absorbent substrates, moisten the surface with a spray bottle or wet cloth before bonding. For two non-absorbent or water-sensitive surfaces, use PL 700. Before applying MOMENT FIX Super adhesive to PU decorative panels, use sandpaper or solvents such as acetone to remove any residual release agents.
Application
Cut the cartridge tip above the screw thread. Screw on the plastic nozzle and cut the nozzle tip at an angle. Insert the cartridge into the gun. Apply the adhesive to one of the surfaces to be bonded: In spots to level uneven surfaces; in a wave-like shape for higher initial tack on wide surfaces or in straight lines for smaller surfaces. For outdoor use, apply vertical lines. To stop the adhesive flow, release the gun trigger after each use - not applicable to foldable guns.
Bonding panels, plastic decorative parts, acoustic panels, and others
Place the panel 1 - 2 cm away from the bonding site, then slide it into the correct position and press firmly. If necessary, support heavy materials with decorative nails. If the underlying layer is smooth and firm, bond the panels directly. For uneven surfaces, we recommend creating mechanically fastened substructures from small wooden panels, rigid polystyrene, or foam polyurethane strips (width: 5 - 10 cm, thickness: 5 - 20 mm, distance between strips: 30 - 65 cm, depending on the panels to be fastened).
